10-way Recap

10-Way Formation Skydiving Brings Speed, Creativity and Good Vibes to Perris!
Eight teams competed in 10-way formation skydiving at the 2026 USPA National Championships at Skydive Perris, where the goal was simple: build the required formation as quickly as possible. In 10-way, the team with the lowest time demonstrates the best performance.
The competition featured six rounds from three different aircraft, giving teams a memorable variety of exits and flying experiences. The first three rounds were conducted from the Twin Otter, followed by two rounds from the Skyvan. The final round launched from the Perris Jet, the only aircraft of its kind that regularly drops skydivers, providing a unique finale to the competition.
Arizona Airspeed established itself as the team to beat from the opening round, posting a 16.13-second time. The all-female Skyrens followed with 19.60 seconds, while Inappropriate In10tions completed the formation in 22.08 seconds.
Airspeed again led Round 2 with a 16.19-second time, followed by Inappropriate In10tions at 20.09 and Skyrens at 22.82. Airspeed continued to set the pace in Round 3, finishing in 20.96 seconds. Inappropriate In10tions recorded 33.18 seconds, while Skyrens posted 21.21 seconds.
The change to the Skyvan in Round 4 produced another strong performance from Airspeed, which completed the formation in 16.26 seconds. Inappropriate In10tions was close behind at 16.53, while 9Friends posted 26.86 seconds.
Airspeed delivered its fastest time of the competition in Round 5, completing the formation in 12.76 seconds. Skyrens followed with 15.12 seconds, while Inappropriate In10tions recorded 22.07 seconds.
The final round, from the Perris Jet, gave competitors one more opportunity to put their skills to the test. Inappropriate In10tions finished the round in 21.11 seconds, earning them the Jet Trophy for fastest time and edging Airspeed at 21.91 seconds. 9Friends recorded 28.99 seconds.
Beyond speed, 10-way also celebrates the creativity and camaraderie that make the discipline unique. The judges' award for creativity in the skydive after the formation was complete went to Skyrens.
Skyrens also received the God Frog Good Vibes Award, passed on from the 2025 recipient, Krill Or Be Krilled. The God Frog is the oldest trophy in formation skydiving. Created by Pat Works in 1972, the award is presented each year at the National Championships to the 10-way speed team that best demonstrates sportsmanship and “good vibes.” The winning team is responsible for selecting the following year's recipient.
